Tour de Trails
This year’s event offers two races, an 8 mile distance and a 4 mile distance, and a 2 mile fun run/walk. This event is FAMILY FRIENDLY and open to Runners and Walkers! The race path for these events is a 100% trail course winding over McPherson County’s beautiful Meadowlark Trail.
What better way to wrap up the exciting All School’s Day festivities than to hit one of McPherson County’s newest amenities! The Tour de Trails Event will take place on Saturday, May 9th, at the Meadowlark Trail Head.

Pedal Tractor Pull
The tractor pull begins at 2:30 pm and is held on east Marlin, just north of Linnea Park. Winners will be eligible to compete at the Kansas State Fair.
No pre-registration is required, but you’ll want to get there early so we know how many contestants we’ll have.
The baby crawl begins at 12:45 pm, immediately following the parade. It’s located in Linnea Park, and precedes Madathon.
No registration is required. Just bring your baby and cheer the little ones on!
The annual All Schools Day pre-parade sale is scheduled for Friday morning, May 12, from 8:00 - 10:00 am. Wear your All Schools Day button or t-shirt for special discounts at select merchants. For details, click here.
Blake Reed Miracle Mile
Registration is underway for the Blake Reed Miracle Mile, which will be held on Saturday, May 9 at McPherson College. All proceeds will benefit the Blake Reed Mac2Mac Football Scholarship at McPherson College.
Free Throw / 3 point / Slam Dunk Contest
Stop by the basketball courts west of the fire station starting at 1:00 pm for basketball. Kids can shoot free throws and 3 pointers with the chance to win a free snow cone from Hopp's Sno Shack from 1 to 3 PM. All kids can enjoy a free snack and drink.
Then a slam dunk contest starts at 3:30 PM with an open invitation to high school and college players to come showcase their skills for the community. A prize will be awarded to the winner.
